The Stretford Grammar School Entry Exam: Overview
The 11 Plus exam is a multiple-choice test made up of two papers, each lasting around one hour and taken on the same day under timed conditions. Both papers cover a mixture of question types assessing:

Pass Mark
Scores are age-standardised and combined to produce an overall result. The school does not publish a pass mark, but typically, pupils achieving scores in the top 25% across the consortium are considered for a place.
Catchment Area
Stretford Grammar School catchment area is defined as the postcodes: M32, M33, M41, M15 and M16 (both within Trafford and Manchester) and including M21, this being the next closest postcode to the school. Priority will be given to applicants living within the catchment area, should there still be places to be awarded, applicants living outside of the catchment area will be admitted, with the applicants living closest to the school having the greater priority.
